I am behind blogging but I have been loom knitting. I have been working on writing some patterns with the intent of writing a book. I thought I would try but it is a lot of work.I am having fun with new patterns, and will update my blog.

Loom Knitting in the Summer

Loom knitting in the summer is a great project. It is so portable and so it is a great carry along project.
I pack up my pattern, yarn, tools,and Knifty Knitter in a zip lock bag to keep everything clean, and I can loom knit anywhere.
It seems like I am in the car more in the summer so I can get projects accomplished on long trips.
Christmas is right around the corner so I am working on candy canes and small ornaments for package toppers that can be hung on the tree afterward.
Check out the pattern on this site. This lady has some amazing patterns. Lots of small projects for those special occasions.

Looming but not Posting

I have been looming, crocheting, and working with my Cricut. I haven't been posting much.
Even though summer is still going strong, I need to get my list for Christmas projects, Christmas comes so fast, especially when you have a list of hand made items to do.
Right now I am working on crocheted shawl in turquoise trimmed in black and turquoise, a black and gold brimmed hat(Pittsburgh colors, a black hat with gold beads,and an afghan. I am loom knitting the two hats, I love to do them on the looms, they come out so beautiful and they work up fast.
Well, let me get back to work, actually crafting.

Cable Bag

I would love to try a cable bag with some Lion Brand Wool Ease yarn I have.
It is a Deep Rose color, a color I love. The handles I chose are glossy black. I have loom knitted a cabled scarf but i have not tried a bag yet. I'm fairly confident that I can make the bag but there always seems to be some other project taking up my time.

I have had this pattern for awhile, so I hope to make this soon.

Hopefully, I will find time to make this bag for next winter.

Learning Loom Knitting

I walked into Joann Fabrics about 2 years ago. A lady was loom knitting with a Provocraft Knifty Knitter. She was demonstrating some stitchers and showed some of her beautiful projects,she had made her niece a shawl for prom and matching slippers for sore feet.
I have never learned to knit, but I love to crochet. This fascinated me. It looked easy and the projects were very nice.
I bought the Knifty Knitter set and researched Loom Knitting on the web and found great information and several groups who were also loom Knitting.
I have progressed since then I have purchased several other looms and several books and made projects from simple scarves to more intricate cable knit projects,
I am glad I stopped at the loom Knitting demo.

National Craft Month! Celebrate And Craft Today!

March is National Craft Month. What better way to celebrate then to learn a new craft?
Loom Knitting is a great craft to learn, and for those of you experienced loom knitters out there, why not try a new project? If you are a newbie to the loom knitter world, try the Knifty Knitters.
They can be purchased at most craft stores at a reasonable price. It will begin a new craft passion for you. You can make anything on the various size looms, from toys to afghans. there are many great books on the market. Isela Phelps Loom Knitting Primer will give you many projects to work on. She has a wide variety and it is a book you can use for reference and projects for years to come. It even has a section on felting.

Make Loom knitting your craft for March and you can even start your Christmas gifts while you are at it. Many great ideas in the Loom Knitting Primer.

Still loom Knitting

I am still Loom Knitting, working on some Black and Gold items. I just finished loom knitting a hat and I will be posting pics as soon as possible.

LOOM knitting is a blessing when your hands are hurting from crocheting and you want to do some yarn crafts.
There are some wonderful books to help you get started. I used Loom Knitting Primer to loom several projects. the brocade baby sweater was a big hit as a baby shower gift.
This book will both teach you and challenge. Try it out and you will love Loom Knitting

I love Loom Knitting, and i think the more people that are introduced to it, the more popular it will become.

I love my book and I am considering buying a second copy since mine is greatly used.

Another great book is this one from In the Attic. Thes patterns ar all for round looms, but they are easy to understand and see how quickly you can create hats, Christmas stockings and more.

So many great new products for our Loom Knitting pleasure. I am so glad I started this craft.
It has actually helped me, I got hurt about a year and a half ago, and I have chronic pain. I can't sit for long periods of time but loom knitting has been a blessing because it can be done in many different comfortable positions for me.

Loom Knitting Christmas Gifts

Loom Knitting for Christmas. It is September already, the kids are back in school.Now it is time to start thinking about Christmas I started making some scarves for several people on my list. I used the

for a matching hat, used the spool knitter for the scarves and made some thin and some wider.
I used one strand of

Working on Fall Looming

I am going to start on some loomed pumpkins and I want to try looming a ghost, The idea is in my head hopefully I can get my brain cells working to get it out on to the loom. I will keep you posted if it works. I keep looming away, here in PA.

Craft Supplies on sale

I have been busy looming and crafting. It is hard to do too much with my back as it is. I don't get to shop much so I have been watching for reasonable craft supplies on the internet. Create for Less has a great sale going on this month,Christmas in July. Christmas for crafters is just around the corner.

Looming Away

Easter has brought some new projects. I have been making bunnies galore. I started out with a bunny with the Loom Class list on yahoo. My first bunny was white with purple trim. She is pretty cute if I do say so myself. She was so popular with my family that I have to make several more.They want to use them as decorations all year round. As soon as I finish them I will post pictures of my assorted bunnies. Still looming and loving it here in Pennsylvania.

Loom Knitting for the Spring and Summer

What can we loom for the spring and summer. There are some very talented ladies that are coming up with new patterns every day. Anne Bipes has created a bunny pattern which is just outstanding. I was fortunate to attend her class at Loom Class on Yahoo. I will post pictures of my bunny in a couple days.
Looming is a great craft. If you have not tried it, you should.

Joann's had 50% coupons so I bought the set . there were two sizes of the round and the square Knit Wit. There were 3 sizes of the Doodle Loom. It seemed to be a good buy. there were also a tassel maker and several booklets with projects.
